Requirements vary by country and institution. Below are standard minimums.

| USA (Undergrad) | 6.0+ | 60+ | Most top universities require higher scores for STEM programs. |
| UK (Tier 4 Visa) | 4.0+ | 50+ | Minimum for degree level is usually 6.0/60 with no band below 5.5. |
| Canada (Study Permit) | 6.0+ | 60+ | Direct entry usually requires 6.5/65, but 6.0/60 is possible with ESL support. |
| Australia (Subclass 500) | 5.5+ | 50+ | Minimum visa requirement is 5.5/50, but most unis require 6.0/60. |
| New Zealand | 5.5+ | 50+ | Minimum for Bachelor's is usually 6.0/60. |
