New Zealand Study Visa Consultants for Pakistani Students
Planning to study in New Zealand from Pakistan? LingoLab is a British Council certified study abroad consultancy guiding students from Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad and across Pakistan through the complete New Zealand student visa process — from choosing an NZQA-registered institution and securing your Offer of Place, to preparing financial evidence, health and travel insurance, and evidence of genuine study intentions for Immigration New Zealand.

We answer all three in a one-on-one session — matching your academic profile to the right New Zealand universities and institutes, confirming whether IELTS Academic, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT or Duolingo suits your timeline, and using our cost calculator and scholarship finder to build a realistic budget before you commit to an application.
New Zealand's appeal for Pakistani students is straightforward: eight state-funded, research-led universities, genuine part-time work rights of up to 25 hours a week while your course is in session, and a Post Study Work Visa pathway for graduates of eligible qualifications. Intakes typically open around February and July, so applications are best started several months ahead. New Zealand Study Visa FAQs
Can I study in New Zealand without IELTS?
Yes — many New Zealand institutions accept alternatives such as PTE, TOEFL, Duolingo, LanguageCert, Oxford ELLT, or evidence of prior education in English, depending on the institution. We'll confirm what your target university or institute accepts.
How many hours can I work on a New Zealand student visa?
From 3 November 2025, eligible student visa holders can work up to 25 hours per week while their course is in session, up from the previous 20-hour limit, with full-time work generally allowed during scheduled course breaks. Master's-by-research and PhD students are not subject to this cap. Work-hour rules can be reviewed by Immigration New Zealand from time to time, so we confirm the current limit with you before you start working.
Can I work in New Zealand after I graduate?
Graduates of an eligible qualification may be able to apply for a Post Study Work Visa, giving open work rights for a period depending on qualification level. Immigration New Zealand has also announced that, from 16 November 2026, eligibility will extend to some Graduate Diploma holders who also hold a bachelor's degree, alongside a new Short Term Graduate Work Visa for graduates who don't qualify for the standard route. We confirm your specific eligibility based on your program and the settings in place at the time you apply.
What documents does a New Zealand student visa application need?
Typically an Offer of Place from your institution, evidence of genuine study intentions, proof of sufficient funds, a valid passport, and health and travel insurance meeting current requirements. We prepare and check your exact checklist during a one-on-one consultation.
How much does it cost to study in New Zealand for Pakistani students?
Total cost depends on your institution, qualification level, city and lifestyle — tuition varies widely between polytechnics, private institutes and universities, and living costs differ between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. Immigration New Zealand also reviews its funds requirement periodically, so rather than publish figures that go out of date, we confirm the current tuition range and funds threshold for your exact program during a free WhatsApp consultation.
What IELTS score do I need for a New Zealand student visa?
There is no single score for every applicant — the requirement is set by your chosen institution and your qualification level, and Immigration New Zealand also has its own English requirements for some visa categories. Our counsellors check the exact IELTS, PTE, TOEFL or Duolingo requirement for your target program before you book a test, so you prepare for the right target the first time.
When are the intakes for New Zealand universities?
Most New Zealand institutions run their main intakes around February and July, with some polytechnics and English-language providers offering additional trimester or term starts through the year. Because admission, English testing and visa processing all take time, we recommend starting your application several months before your target intake.
How does LingoLab support my New Zealand application?
